Announcing Integration of Oregon Cardiology Physicians
Oregon Cardiology is the premier provider of specialty heart care in our region. Its talented team of cardiologists and health care professionals has enjoyed a close relationship with the Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend for many years.
We are proud to announce the integration of these two leaders in heart care. Effective Oct. 1, 2010, Oregon Cardiology’s 12 cardiologists and three allied health professionals are employed by Sacred Heart Medical Center.
This integration raises the level of multidisciplinary collaboration that has always been a hallmark of the Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute. Our region will continue to benefit from Oregon Cardiology’s exceptional training and expertise, while enjoying the enhanced coordination of care and improved operational efficiencies that result from integration. The team at Oregon Cardiology will deliver the same great care, now with the support of PeaceHealth’s full complement of services and staff.
Oregon Cardiology’s leadership and commitment to quality have helped make the Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute the highly regarded organization it is today. The 2009-2010 Quality Report presents information about the institute’s top-notch heart and vascular programs, summaries of surgical trends and approaches, and data on patient volumes and outcomes. Our commitment to quality and multidisciplinary collaboration began with the formation of the institute in 2004 and, as the report demonstrates, continues to this day. The blending of Oregon Cardiology into the PeaceHealth family of providers clearly demonstrates our dedication to offering our region the best cardiology care in Oregon.
We anticipate few immediate changes as a result of integration. If anything, physicians should experience improved communication, streamlined service, and delivery of more of what you need to successfully manage your patients’ care.
